First Drake scores big with Sprite, and now Somali-Canadian rapper K’Naan is about to cash in big with Coca-Cola.

K’Naan x Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola has enlisted K’Naan’s song “Wavin’ Flag” as their FIFA World Cup ad campaign theme song. The original song is from the 2009 album Troubadour but will be re-mixed for the Coke ad campaign as the “Coca-Cola Celebration re-mix.”

“It’s so exciting to be part of this epic journey and see Africa’s excitement for the FIFA World Cup first hand,” said K‘Naan.

K’Naan expects to get some major world-wide exposure from the promotion that is worth millions of dollars in publicity. The song will be featured in over 150 countries as part of the Coca-Cola campaign. Here is the video to the original song. Notice the nicely placed Coca-Cola flags on stage.

This summer K’Naan will have the attention of the world during the World Cup!
